Mental Illness and Bell Let's Talk Day

Wednesday, January 28

Today is Bell's Let's Talk Day. Where 5 cents is donated every time the #BellLetsTalk is used on twitter and Instagram  and the Bell picture is shared on Facebook. This campaign is to bring awareness to mental health, and erase the stigma surrounding mental illness.
I think that this is a great idea, and last year Bell donated over $ 5 million for mental illness.
The thing that bothers me, is that so many people support this issue today, but the other 364 days of the year it is never mentioned.
Why? Why can't people continue to erase the stigma surrounding mental illness every day of the year?  Why do we need a special day to make people with mental illness feel loved and accepted?
People should be accepted everyday of the year, no matter what they may suffer from, or be experiencing in their lives.
Some food for thought, I suppose.

Spread love ♥, and remove stigmas
